This month, Miles Macadam worked in collaboration with Blackpool Council to complete surfacing works as part of their £5.3million Road Regeneration Project. This scheme utilised 11,000m² of Milepave™ to resurface several residential roadways around Blackpool. The council were able to specify Miles Macadam through the Project Amber Framework. This framework is based on 100% quality assessment and was developed to help facilitate collaboration, innovation and cost savings in the management of highways assets. It was designed to break down perceived or actual barriers to participation from SMEs, who are typically at the forefront of advances on treatments and techniques for maintenance and repair. These performance characteristics provide a long-lasting solution to the regeneration of Blackpool’s roads and will continue to provide a durable surface for years to come.
