Miles Macadam have had an exciting start to 2021 working at Nottingham’s Broadmarsh Bus Station for Nottingham City Council. The ‘Nottingham Southside’ project is a new scheme that focuses on the rejuvenation of the southern entrance to the city and includes significant changes to Broadmarsh Bus Station. We were selected to install 2,366m2 of our BBA certified cementitious Grouted Macadam Hardicrete™. This material is ideal for bus infrastructure as it is designed to withstand intense traffic loadings and fuel/leachate contamination while maintaining flexural strength. Our Hardicrete™ is regularly specified for bus stations in comparison to other conventional concrete materials. The scheme was completed in a single phase over a one-week period.
