The Miles Macadam team have had a slight change in scenery this week as they ventured up to Hull to install Hardipave™ on 6  bus laybys. This team in particular have spent the last few weeks installing Milepave™ in our local area for the Shropshire Carbon Neutral Scheme, so it was a change for them to be working out of the area and with our Resin Cementitious Grouted Macadam, Hardipave™.

They carried out the activity of surfacing in Hull on behalf of PBS Construction. During March, the team made a couple of visits to the site to complete the programme.  The area covered was approximately 260m², (1430 m² in total) of 6 bus layby using Hardipave Grouted Macadam, including 50m of black dyed grouted Hardipave in 1 bus layby. There was a total of 8 team members (including the Contract Manager and Site Foreman) involved in the works and the duration of this activity was 1 to 2 days per visit.

Due to the location of the works, it was not practical for total road closure to be implemented and therefore Traffic Management was in operation.  Traffic Management was carried out by PBS.
