The Miles Macadam team have been working locally again this week. They resurfaced Hockenhull Avenue in Tarvin on behalf of Ringway Cheshire West and Chester. Ringway has been working in Cheshire West and Chester since October 2012 supporting the Council by maintaining the transport network. The area covered was approximately 600m² of residential road using 14mm Milepave at 40mm depth. There was a total of 15 team members (including the Contract Manager and Site Foreman) involved in the works and the duration of this activity took 1 day to complete. Milepave™ offers the client an opportunity to resurface and reprofile with a high strength material that is sealed fully against water ingress and has inherent flexibility to combat underlying movement. Milepave™ is a popular choice for overlaying concrete carriageways as it is sealed against water ingress thereby preventing further erosion of the support layer beneath the concrete. Due to the location of the works, a road closure was put in place. Traffic Management was carried out by Ringway.
