Last week, the Local Council Road’s Innovation Group held their annual Strictly Highways event in Blackpool. A couple members from our brilliant Miles Macadam team, Shaun, Toby and Steve set up a stall and were ready to talk all things Miles Macadam – from road surfacing to carbon neutrality. The event is an interactive and innovative way to network with new clients, as well as catch up with old ones. The programme was split into four key focus areas – net zero, collaboration, innovation and skills – which align with LCRIG’s key activities and initiatives. It gave opportunity to discuss how Miles Macadam can benefit the highway network, and congratulate others on their successes in road maintenance. Overall, the event gives a voice to the highways industry to help enforce change, and celebrate innovation. And for those that attended – we know the Miles Macadam cheese went down a treat! They were gone in 10 minutes! Reminder for next year…bring more cheese.
