Pacopatch at Cannock
This week the Miles Macadam team were contracted to complete Pacopatch on the A5190 Lichfield Road. This is a link road that connects Cannock, Burntwood and Lichfield and is heavily trafficked. Pacopatch was required around ironwork on the road that was in need of necessary repair.
Pacopatch is a revolutionary, polymer based, bituminous repair system developed for the reinstatement of all types of ironwork on highways and airfields in asphalt and concrete pavements. Producing a permanent repair, Pacopatch is a 100% on-site process and requires no subsequent maintenance.
A total of 2 Miles Macadam team members were required, and the activity took 1 day to complete. The area was secured and made safe to work with a one lane closure and vehicle protection where necessary. Once work was completed, the Pacopatch was allowed to cool for approximately 2 hours prior to allowing traffic.
