The Road Surface Treatments’ Association has recently released their Autumn 2022 Newsletter. It’s a great honour to see our scheme in partnership with Lancashire County Council featured for it’s decarbonisation efforts. The article reveals how Lancashire County Council have been commended for their commitment to sustainable working practices and carbon reduction. The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) awarded the council with a Climate Action Award in recognition of their Highways Decarbonisation Strategy. The awards follows Miles Macadam’s scheme with Lancashire, that utilised our reduced carbon product, Milepave™ to reduce the carbon footprint and provide a long-lasting, durable material for their highways network. Overall, 2950m² of Milepave™ was installed on Tanhouse Road Roundabout in Skelmersdale, saving 6 tonnes of bitumen and 6 tonnes of carbon.
